vaccination + health requirements
Before coming to our facility, every puppy must…
have had at least one set of puppy vaccinations (DA/HLPP) and deworming, preferably administered by a vet, at least 7 days prior to coming into Wonder Puppy
have been in-home for at least 10 days
not have had any diarrhea, lethargy, coughing or sneezing within 24 hours
not have any canine warts (papillomas) on or around mouth/eyes/ears
not go to dog parks or non-puppy-specific daycare if taking Social Puppy or Puppy Day Camp (to minimize health risks to other puppies)
please note: if your puppy is in heat (estrus cycle), please attend class without your puppy
We recommend fecal giardia testing plus bordetella and/or lepto vaccinations per vet recommendation.
BONUS | You don’t have to bring us any paperwork!* We reach out directly to your vet to confirm your puppy is healthy, vaccinated and ready to wonder.
*Exception | If you sign up for your first class on the day before, then you DO need to bring confirmation of your puppy’s vaccinations to class. (It can take us two days to connect with your vet.)
The American Veterinary Society of Animal Behavior/AVSAB recommends starting socializing and training before completing your puppy’s shots. While your puppy’s health is vulnerable at a young age, more dogs die from lack of early socialization than from disease. Read AVSAB’s position statement on socialization.
