Wonder Puppy offers “balanced playgroups.” Balanced playgroups are drop in classes that combine controlled puppy playtime with relaxation. There is an emphasis on parent education that includes how to read your dog’s body language and what to do if he or she becomes nervous or overly excited in situations. Each session includes controlled off-leash releases, collar grabs, basic skills practice, and socialization to sights, sounds, handling, grooming, and resource sharing. First-time attendees receive a free socialization assessment and will be given a copy to take home!

Playgroup is for pups up to 6 months of age. To help ensure a positive experience for all, the groups are kept small and are divided by size and temperament.
Each session will show you how to:

Pup Requirements
People-safe and dog-safe (no aggression)
To ensure that playgroup is safe and healthy for all involved, trainers will assess all pups' temperaments on an on-going basis. Abnormal ranges of anxiety or reactivity may result in dimissal with referral.
Heathy and free of parasites
Vaccinations
One set of puppy shots given by veterinarian + 7 days for: D(HorA)PP, Bordetella and Lepto if recommended by your veterinarian, clear fecal with giardia test, and Rabies if over 6 months of age.
Age
Playgroups are for pups ages 10 weeks to 6 months (some acceptions will apply)
Shelter and rescue quarantine time
Adopted pups can come to playgroup after 10 days in their new homes and with their new veterinarian's permission stating clean bill of health.
Size Divisions
Tiny Tykes – up to 12 lbs
Lil Tykes – 12-25 lbs
Big Tykes – 25-55 lbs
Temperament Divisions
In every playgroup there are “zen areas” so that mellow/shy pups can be separated from energetic-confident pups.
