Christina Perez

Christina’s work with dogs began in 2006 at Lexi Dog Social Club and Boutique.  Over almost four years of working in the daycare industry, her passion for dogs and dog behavior grew. This passion led her to enrolling as a student in the professional trainers’ program at the Whole Dog Academy where she became involved with Wonder Puppy in 2008.   In 2010, Christina became the WP retail store manager and she is now a WP head trainer and parenting coach, leading group classes, playgroups, and teaching privately.  In addition to teaching at WP, Christina is also an Instructor and Advisor for Whole Dog Academy, a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers, an American Kennel Club "Canine Good Citizen" Evaluator, and is certified by the American Red Cross in Dog First Aide/CPR.  Christina is currently working towards her certification through the Certification Council for Professional Dog Trainers.

Growing up, Christina was fascinated by animals, constantly reading books on marine mammals, playing with her cat Gato, and even getting her first job at the Oregon Zoo so she could visit with the animals on her breaks.

When Christina isn’t training, she stays busy going to school full-time.  She enjoys working towards her B.S. in Psychology and hanging out with her two shepherd-mix rescues, gentle Clyde and feisty Nora!
